US model Graham on clothing sizes: I hardly see any development in the industry

US model Ashley Graham says she sometimes has difficulty getting clothes in her size.

“There are still some designers who say, ‘Sorry, we can’t, we’re just not going to design anything for a larger body,'” the 36-year-old told US magazine People. “Things have changed a lot in some ways and in others they have just come to a standstill.”

If you look at catwalks today, not much has changed in the fashion industry, explained Graham, who has been campaigning for self-acceptance and against exclusionary beauty ideals for many years. “If you look at the designers, some of them dress different body types, but that’s not the norm.” That’s why she doesn’t want to “stop talking about my body and about attracting people with larger sizes,” explained Graham.
