The US fashion brand Rails has further expanded its presence in Europe: The label, founded by Jeff Abrams in 2008, has now opened its second flagship store on the continent in London. Rails has had its own store in Paris since May last year. The Los Angeles-based clothing retailer also operates several stores in the USA.
In the British metropolis, Rails opted for premises at 13 Floral Street in the Covent Garden district. In addition to the women’s collection, the men’s fashion line Mr. Rails is also sold there on an area of more than 2,000 square meters. “Here, loyal online shoppers from England have the opportunity to experience the full range of the brand and to explore the super-soft materials that are characteristic of Rails,” the company said in a statement. “Due to the central and well-frequented location in one of London’s vibrant districts, Rails is looking forward to winning over new customers to the brand.” The store also serves as the label’s European headquarters and showroom.
Founder and Creative Director Abrams explained the background to the reopening: “Great Britain is one of our most important international markets and we have a strong network of retail partners such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Trilogy and more than 70 independent store partners,” he explained in a statement . “It’s a place where we feel very comfortable. We look forward to further investing in this market and continuing to nurture the great network we have.”
The next step in expansion is already in sight: the label announced that it would “open a second London store in a different, highly sought-after location before the end of this spring”.
