US health authority no longer wants distance and quarantine

The US health authority CDC has generally had enough in its latest recommendations with restrictive measures to prevent the spread of the corona virus. For example, keeping your distance, mandatory corona tests and quarantines generally don’t make sense anymore, because so much has changed since the virus emerged almost two years ago, according to Greta Massetti of the CDC.

News channel CNN reports that, according to Massetti, a very large part of the American population has now been infected and/or has been vaccinated. The focus must now be on protecting the vulnerable. The restrictive measures should still be enforced where there are vulnerable people, such as nursing homes and hospitals and prisons. Testing would still be useful in people with complaints and in those with whom they have been in contact. People with the coronavirus and symptoms should also better self-isolate for at least five days and wear masks when in company.
