US F1 GP, new Ferrari fund, because the F1-75s are strong in Austin

Positive feedback for the bottom mounted on the F1-75: another exam in view of the 2023 F1 World Championship in the Mexican GP on 30 October

Ferrari presented itself to Austin for the US F1 GP with both F1-75s equipped with the same bottom which made its debut at Suzuka in the Japanese GP. This, in fact, constituting the last aerodynamic development planned for this year, as already confirmed by the same team principal Mattia Binotto, on the eve of the Japanese. On that occasion, however, the bad weather conditions did not allow us to evaluate its exact potential.

In Texas, the performances found in the first two free practice sessions held at the Circuit Of The Americas confirmed the goodness of the development introduced two weeks earlier. For the technicians of the Scuderia di Maranello, and specifically for the aerodynamics department, this element can therefore be considered an important piece of the car for next season. The GP of October 30 in Mexico City, where the thinning of the air drastically reduces the vertical load, will constitute a further test bed for the definitive validation of this concept to be transferred to next year’s single-seater.
