US brand Members Only is expanding into Europe

The US brand Members Only is targeting the European market and also wants to start in Germany.

For the expansion on the German market, VIP Entertainment & Merchandising AG was commissioned to find a licensing partner, the Hamburg licensing agency announced on Tuesday. The first products could be introduced and tested in Germany using an import license.

The Members Only brand, backed by the companies Licensing Group and JR Apparel Group, was founded in the mid-70s and enjoyed particular success in the 80s with its ‘Iconic Racer’ jacket.

The brand is currently only active in North America and plans to open stores in the domestic market as well. It is available in brick-and-mortar stores at retailers in North America such as Urban Outfitters, Macy’s and Forever21, as well as online at Amazon and Zappos. Members Only also sponsors the three US professional teams Jacksonville Jaguars (American football), Cleveland Cavaliers (basketball) and New York Islanders (ice hockey) and collaborates with various brand franchises such as Keith Haring, Basquiat, Looney Tunes and Nickelodeon.
