The project developer Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has won the next well-known fashion brands for its Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier shopping center, which is still under construction. On Monday, the real estate company introduced six new tenants.
Accordingly, the labels Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, which belong to the US group PVH Corporation, will move to Überseequartier with their own flagship stores. In addition, the lingerie brands Calzedonia and Intimissimi “each with unusual store concepts” are coming to the shopping center, which is scheduled to be completed in spring 2024.
The latest additions also include the British fashion labels Phase Eight and Hobbs. Both brands would open their first stores in Germany in Überseequartier, URW announced.
Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing Austria & Germany at URW, explained the concept of the shopping center: “The brand mix in Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier as a whole, but also specifically in the area of fashion and lifestyle, will set new standards across the industry,” he explained in a statement . “We combine global brands with national brands and at the same time young, up-and-coming labels with local champions with strong regional roots.”
With this strategy, the company wants to “ensure an extraordinary diversification of the offer” and “create a retail and lifestyle experience that will not be found anywhere else in Germany”, stressed Wiesmann. The partnerships with the brands now presented fit “very well with this ambition”.
