Uruguayans exceed 1.5 million dollars invested in real estate crowdfunding

With estimated net returns of between 7% and 9% per year in dollars, Uruguayans have invested more than 1.5 million dollars in Bricksave, the global real estate crowdfunding platform founded in 2016, which has nearly 200 financed properties, more than 12,000 users registered and 4.5 million dollars of returns delivered to investors of 19 nationalities.

Selected by Endeavor as one of the six most promising companies of 2022 in Latin America, Bricksave offers anyone, anywhere in the world, access to the purchase of residential and finished properties in the most attractive cities for investment – Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Lisbon, Vienna and Barcelona, among others- without having to leave your home and with seven clicks, in a 100% digital process. The investor’s participation can be from 1000 dollars to the acquisition of an entire property.

“Since our beginnings we have sought to democratize the real estate market. It is a highly secure business model, which has been very positively received by Uruguayan investors,” explains Sofía Gancedo, co-founder of Bricksave and 2021 winner of the “Globant Awards – Women that Build Edition” award, in the “Tech Entrepreneur” category.

“The world is experiencing a very particular moment, of great uncertainty, with inflation as a challenge for almost all currencies. In this context, Real Estate continues to be a reliable alternative, which accompanies and even exceeds inflationary rhythms”, adds Gancedo.

Bricksave works with an algorithm that evaluates 3,000 data points on different aspects such as the demographic composition of cities, crime statistics, jobs and income, education and infrastructure, among many others. The selection process follows strict due diligence steps before the properties are presented to investors.

“The confidence of the Uruguayans in our platform is not a coincidence, but the corollary of a lot of work and a very professional view of our business. Throughout these years we have received the support of important financial institutions such as the Future Fund, a UK government fund, Seedrs, the most active startup investment platform in Europe, LAB Miami Ventures and Kinled Holding. This confidence was essential to position ourselves as the main crowdfunding site in Latin America and achieve reinvestment rates of 84% from our investors”, concludes Sofía Gancedo.
