The situation is coming to a head, Hertha are running out of defenders! On Monday afternoon, Marton Dardai (20) was suddenly the only central defender left on the training ground.
Reason: New signing Filip Uremovic (25) injured his knee on Monday, had to be bandaged and transported off the course in a golf cart.
Trainer Sandro Schwarz (43): “It happened without any opponent influence. That’s all I can say yet.” Medical exams and downtime are pending.

Defense alarm at Hertha!
► Friday was Omar Alderete (27) awarded to Getafe.
► Dedryck Boyta (31) is at FC Brugge for a medical check-up. The change is on the home stretch.
► Linus Gechter (18) still brooding over a flu-like infection. Hertha hopes he’ll get back on board soon. But he cannot be in full possession of his powers.

On Monday even right-back Deyovaisio Zefuik (24) and midfielder Lucas Tousart (25) had to help out as central defenders.

Now a new defender is supposed to come! Schwarz: “With Gechter, Uremovic, Kempf and Dardai we have four central defenders in the squad. Of course we are concerned about this position.”
Positive: Left-back Marvin Plattenhardt (30) returned Monday ahead of Saturday’s home game against Dortmund.
