Two cycling tourists (45) died this morning in the port of Ghent after they were hit by an Opel Astra in a group on the cycle path. The driver was banned from driving, took a positive breath test after the accident and was also said to have been driving too fast. Moreover, he was convicted twice in the past for driving under the influence. The victims are from Lochristi, HLN confirmed.
