Market values in Spain’s lower house
Jorge de Frutos (25) remains the most valuable player in the Spanish House of Commons despite a significant minus in the market value update of LaLiga2. The right winger of relegated UD Levante is the biggest loser with a devaluation of 2 million euros, but maintains its top spot with a valuation of 8 million euros.
His teammates José Campaña (29) and Wesley Moraes (26) are also downgraded, both losing a million each and now sitting at €4m. Overall, the third-placed team lost 11.6 percent in squad value, the most significant drop in the league, but with 42.5 million euros they are still at the top of the ranking of the most valuable teams ahead of Granada FC.
The Andalusians meanwhile provide the top winner of the update. Winger Myrto Uzuni (27), with eleven goals and two assists in 20 games, both the top scorer and the best scorer, is the only one to climb by a seven-figure amount and is now valued at 6 million euros, making him the second most valuable footballer in LaLiga2 and Sporting Gijón’s Uros Djurdjevic (28; -one to €5m) ousted, who shared third place with Marcos Paulo (21, CD Mirandés) and Alejandro Francés (20, Real Zaragoza).
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
