The Sparkasse has updated its banking app. Although this is currently only available to iPhone users, it brings some important and practical innovations. TECHBOOK explains exactly what these are.
For some applications, regular updates are particularly important. Not only to keep security up to date, but also to expand the range of functions. The current update to the Sparkasse app is quite extensive in this regard, as it brings several innovations.
Update for the Sparkasse app provides a better overview of finances
We are talking about the update to version 6.4.2. It has been standing recently available to download for iOS devices ready. Bank customers can now customize the homepage of the savings bank app and, above all, get the information relevant to them clearly displayed.
In the future, transactions and transfers can also be better managed via the app. For example, existing templates can now be searched, which saves time. Savings bank customers also see a better overview of their income and expenses and can also summarize their sales into categories. Sales do not necessarily have to be made via the savings bank account. They can now also be displayed in the app from a PayPal or N26 account. In the future, all important finances will be bundled in one app.
The account balance forecast is also new. They can also be used to display account transactions that have not yet been posted, which allows customers to get a better current status of their own account balance. The Sparkasse has also introduced the return of direct debits. Illegally debited direct debits have long been able to be reversed via the online account, but the function was not previously available in the app. With the update, Sparkasse customers can now object to a debit directly on their smartphone and thus instruct the bank to repay the corresponding amount.
Mobile banking is becoming increasingly important
The range of functions that the update of the savings bank app brings with it shows once again how important mobile banking has now become for the various financial institutions. In times when savings banks and banks in Germany are closing more and more branches, many customers are now dependent on online banking. Many people even only use their smartphones, where the demand for the most comprehensive range of functions possible is constantly growing.
