Doc Antle has been convicted of wildlife smuggling.

Tiger King familiar from the series Doc Antle or Mahamayavi Antle of Bhagavan has been convicted of smuggling wild animals, reported the news, among other things The New York Times and The Guardian.
Antle was originally charged in October 2020 after illegally purchasing endangered lion cubs for his Myrtle Beach Safari zoo.
A Virginia jury convicted Antle of a total of four wildlife-trafficking crimes.
Each of these convictions carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison in the state of Virginia. Antle therefore faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years. The final verdict will be handed down on September 14.

Antlea and her daughters, Tawny Antlea and Tilakam Watterson smaller charges of animal welfare violations had also been brought against them, but they were dropped.
Antle denied any wrongdoing to animals when charges were filed in 2020.
Antle is also currently facing a separate lawsuit in South Carolina, accusing him of money laundering.
Doc Antle is by no means the only one on Netflix Tiger King – hit documentary series about people who have been convicted of criminal activity. The title character of the program Joe Exotic is currently serving a 21-year sentence for serious animal welfare crimes, and also what was seen in the series by Carole Baskin for planning the murder.
