Up to 1000 euros reward for tips! Who knows these serial robbers?

With the publication of images from surveillance cameras, the Berlin police are looking for two men who are said to have committed a serious robbery on December 7, 2019.

The unknown men threatened the seller of a late purchase at Perleberger Straße 38 in Moabit at around 5.30 a.m. with a gun and demanded that valuables be handed over.

The seller complied with the request and released the cash balance. Both perpetrators then fled, presumably via Lübecker Strasse, to a black VW van that was waiting on Birkenstrasse and had a driver, with which they then left in an unknown direction.

The alleged perpetrators are described as follows:

Offender 1 (demands/takes money)
– 25-30 years old
– about 170 cm tall
– slim
– narrow elongated head
– fair complexion
– very agile
– Dressed in all black

Perpetrator 2 (Threatener)
– masculine
– about 25 to 35 years old
– about 170 – 175 cm tall
– Strong, plump build
– Conspicuous slow gait with a stiff upper body
– big hands
– spoke German with an accent
– black jacket and pants
– wore a black mask
– holds a pointed object in his hand

Two more raids

The act is said to be part of a series of three raids in Moabit on December 7th, 10th and 15th, 2019.

In the other two acts, the two robbers raided hotels at night. Among other things, they are said to have robbed the lobby of the Hotel Ameron Berlin Abion Spreebogen in Moabit on December 15, 2019, around 3:30 a.m. They threatened two hotel employees at the reception with one weapon and stole cash from a safe.

The two perpetrators then fled through the Kleiner Tiergarten in the direction of Lübecker Strasse.

The criminal police asks:

► Who knows the people depicted, can provide information on the identity or whereabouts or place of residence of the strangers?
► Who observed the preparation for the crime or the escape?
► Who else can provide relevant information?

The Berlin public prosecutor’s office has offered a reward of up to 1,000 euros for tips on obtaining evidence that can be used to convict the perpetrators.

The reward is intended solely for members of the public, not for those whose professional duties include the prosecution of criminal offenses. Persons who were involved in the act are excluded from allocation. The distribution of the reward takes place under exclusion of the legal process.
