Unvaccinated Djokovic does not regret missing grand slams
Despite missing two grand slam tournaments, tennis player Novak Djokovic does not regret refusing the corona vaccination. The former world number 1 felt bad about not being allowed to participate in the Australian Open and US Open, “but I knew what the consequences would be and I accepted it”.
The 35-year-old Serb does not yet know whether he can participate in the upcoming edition of the Australian Open, the first grand slam of the new year. “I’m waiting for clarity. It’s not in my hands. I hope I get good news soon.” At the beginning of this year, Djokovic was given a three-year travel ban when Australia expelled him, but Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said it could be lifted. The tournament is in January.
