Florian Unruh is doing it right now: The European Games winner celebrated the German mixed title with partner Charline Schwarz on Sunday.

Florian Unruh and Charline Schwarz are the new German mixed champions in archery with the Olympic recurve bow. The duo from SSC Fockbeck prevailed in the final on Sunday (July 9th, 2023) against Jonathan Vetter and Michelle Kroppen from the Schützengilde Ditzingen. Unruh and Schwarz won after three sets with 5:1 set points (40:34, 38:38, 37:34).

Unruh: “Hope it stays until the World Cup”

Unruh, who won gold in singles and bronze with Ditzingerin Kroppen in mixed at the European Games at the end of June, secured victory in the final gold shot with a hit in the “ten”. After the competition, Unruh was happy: “That’s very, very cool”, said the husband of Olympic silver medalist Lisa Unruh in the sports show. Black added: “It’s a dream to stand here.”

Unruh immediately looked ahead to the world title fights in Berlin at the end of July. “I’m in a really good phase right now. I hope it stays that way until the World Cup”, said the 30-year-old. At the World Cup, among other things, tickets for the 2024 Olympics in Paris will be awarded.

Bronze after Tacherting

Bronze in the mixed archery competition went to Moritz Wieser and Katharina Bauer from FSG Tacherting, who beat Maximilian Weckmüller and Elisa Tartler from BSG Ebersberg with 5:4 set points.
