Unlimited Footwear Group BV has not managed to overcome the payment suspension. On February 27, the suspension of payments was converted into insolvency, according to the Netherlands’ public insolvency register today. This means that several subsidiaries have also been declared insolvent.
The Dutch company, trading as The Heritage Footwear Company, was granted a payment deferment on February 16. The company was given until May 14 to submit a plan to make the payments. However, two weeks after the moratorium was imposed, the curtain fell on the company.
For the subsidiaries Unlimited Footwear Midco BV, Trend Design Shoe Fashion BV, Shoes Unlimited BV, Bullboxer BV, Oakland Bay BV, Huntington Beach BV, Next Level Brands BV, Unlimited Footwear Holding BV, Hawick 1874 BV, Serve&Volley Footwear BV, Star Collections BV , Newport Footwear BV also filed for bankruptcy on February 27th.
However, not all subsidiaries are protected by the insolvency regulations. For example, Nubikk and Rehab were not affected by the payment deferral and therefore also by the bankruptcy.
FashionUnited attempted to contact the insolvency administrator HJ Alberts, but he was unable to speak to FashionUnited.
The curtain falls on Unlimited Footwear Group BV after payments have been stopped
Unlimited Footwear Group designs, purchases and distributes shoes for men, women and children. The well-known player in the fashion industry has 13 brands in its portfolio, six of which are private labels. The Dutch footwear company has acquired the footwear licenses of eight well-known brands, including Gap, G-Star and Lyle & Scott, and has Levi’s as a distribution brand in its portfolio.
