In recent years it has been a coming and going of handball players at Volendam. This will be different next season and the current group will remain as good as complete. Circle player Jeroen Roefs also extended his contract this week.
The handball player has already played four seasons in the fishing village and has signed for another two years. “At Volendam I have mainly developed offensively. The confidence I have gained has made me a better player,” says Roefs. The handball player from Oss previously played at Lions. That team became national champion last Sunday at the expense of Volendam.
Reinforcements
Earlier, Geert Hinskens’ team strengthened itself with Ephrahim Jerry (Tremblay), Loeka Hendriks (DWS), Clyde Marengo (DWS) and Twan Klompe (Hellas).
Only Wessel Blokzijl (Houten) will leave Volendam this season.
Solid core
In contrast to previous years, Volendam has managed to keep the group intact. This is how strong holders such as Jordy Baijens, Lucas Schneider, Evan de Lange, Evert Kooijman, Stefan van Gils and Robin Nagtegaal will remain loyal to Volendam next season.
