A hitherto unknown translation of a work by the French philosopher and mathematician René Descartes has been discovered in Leiden, the Netherlands. The manuscript is a Latin translation of the unfinished book ‘L’Homme’ (‘Man’) from the 1930s, which was not published until after Descartes’ death.
