Universal Music Group limits partnership with Rammstein | show

Record label Universal Music Group (UMG) limits cooperation with Rammstein because frontman Till Lindemann has been accused of unwanted sexual acts. German media NDR and South German Zeitung report that UMG will stop promoting albums by the German metal band.

UMG says in a statement to the German media that the company has “the utmost respect for the women who have spoken out so courageously in this case.” Several young women have accused 60-year-old Lindemann. For example, they would have been invited to after-parties during concerts where all kinds of sexual acts would have taken place. A woman told the BBC she was “recruited” to have sex with the singer.

On Wednesday it was announced that the German public prosecutor a criminal investigation started to 60-year-old Lindemann. The metal band itself has hired a law firm to investigate the allegations against the frontman.
