The United States has reported a monkeypox infection in a pregnant woman. This is the first confirmed case in the country. That is according to the American health authority CDC (‘Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’). The baby has already been born and both mother and child “are doing well”. The monkeypox virus was first diagnosed in two children in the US last weekend.
