The United Arab Emirates has given permission for the construction of a huge gas project just before the start of the UN climate conference, which the country is hosting. It should become the first ’emission-free’ gas field in the world. The state oil company Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced this on Thursday.
