Unitas will not get into trouble against BFC, ladies E & O in the second half past the Tukkers

HANDBALL – The Drentse first divisionists both managed to win the league match. Unitas recorded an easy win in the away match against BFC 20-25. The ladies of E&O made the difference in the second half and won 26-29.

Unitas started strong and found the free player at the circle slightly easier in the attacking game than the opponent. The people of Rolden soon took a lead and managed to widen the gap every time. With an 11-5 lead, Unitas ended up with one man less after a tough duel. However, the BFC from Beek did not manage to close the gap to Unitas, as a result of which Henk Jan Ottens’ team went into halftime with a 14-8 lead.

After the break, there seemed to be some tension in the Unitas team. The first three points in the second half were for the Limburgers. The order was quickly put to business and Unitas managed to keep the margin at 3 to 4 points. The victory was no longer in danger and in the end the game was won 20-25.

The ladies from E&O took on De Tukkers from Albergen. The numbers 11 and 12 from the first division made it an exciting battle. In the first half, the teams were not inferior to each other, so that the scoreboard was 17-17 at halftime. In the second half, Jan Gerald Mulder’s team appeared to have the longest breath. The team from Emmen therefore won the away game 26-29.

Next Thursday, E&O will take on PSV in-house. A weekday round of matches is also scheduled for Unitas. In Rolde, the game will be played against Artemis’15 from Doetinchem.
