Unique double concert Men’s Choir Uffelte and Amusement Choir Hoogeveen

A unique performance will take place in the De Buddingehof village hall on Sunday morning, October 22. Then the Men’s Choir Uffelte, together with the Amusement Choir Hoogeveen, will give a coffee concert. A unique concert, because both choirs, under the inspiring leadership of their conductors Bert Koster and Frederika Kluwer, have rehearsed a number of beautiful new songs

We always try to give an extra dimension to the concerts by combining them with friendly choirs or musicians. This time it is the combination of the Men’s Choir Uffelte and the mixed Amusement Choir Hoogeveen.

The Men’s Choir Uffelte consists not only of men from Uffelte, but also from surrounding villages such as Havelte, Wittelte, Ruinerwold, Ruinen, Hees and even Steenwijk. The choir has a very varied repertoire, in which singing songs in the own regional language of Drenthe is an important part. In addition, there are many very pleasant Dutch songs in the repertoire, but English and German are also sung. The Amusement Choir Hoogeveen (once the Smartklapkoor Hoogeveen) is a mixed, polyphonic choir with more than 40 members. The choir mainly sings in Dutch, with a few excursions into English. The repertoire consists mainly of well-known sing-along songs, accompanied by accordionists and a drummer.

The concert starts on Sunday at 11 a.m. and admission is 10 euros, including coffee. Children up to 13 years old have free admission. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Roelof de Jonge, tel. 06-30257990, from Kor Reins, tel. 0521-351330 and from Dries Mensen, tel. 06-51897281.
