PEACE FOR ALL available from June 17th
UNIQLO UT is committed to a peaceful world and uses all proceeds to help people in need
Berlin – UNIQLO today announces the launch of PEACE FOR ALL, an ongoing collection of t-shirts designed to promote a peaceful world. The new project UT PEACE FOR ALL was created in collaboration with famous personalities from the fields of art, design, literature, science and sport. UNIQLO’s parent company, Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. donates all profits (approx. 20% of the sales price) in equal parts to the international organizations UNHCR, Plan International and Save the Children, which help people suffering from poverty, discrimination, violence, war or natural disasters.
“The UN refugee agency UNHCR announced in May that the number of displaced people has exceeded 100 million for the first time. For people who are forced to leave their homes, support with clothing, water, food, medicine and a place to sleep is essential. Over the past several years, thanks to the help and collaboration of our customers, we have already launched a number of initiatives to support displaced people,” said Tadashi Yanai, Chairman, President and CEO of Fast Retailing. PEACE FOR ALL is a new LifeWear initiative aimed at helping those affected by conflict and war and spreading the message of peace around the world. Messages can be conveyed through t-shirts. By wearing one of our UTs you can also raise your own voice non-verbally. The world needs peace now more than ever and I hope that PEACE FOR ALL will reinforce that message,” he adds.
At the start, five well-known personalities from different areas, with whom UNIQLO has already worked in the past and who share a common vision of global peace, present their T-shirts. The designs and slogans embody their individual desire for peace.
