Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin has started the second part of the winter preparations with 30 professionals.
Midfielder Andras Schäfer was able to do his first laps on Thursday after his serious injury. The Hungarian international broke a foot in the Europa League in a 1-0 away win at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in early November.
Tymoteusz Puchacz was excused. The Polish defender has little chance of playing at Union and is set to move to Panathinaikos Athens. According to Greek media, he arrived in Athens on Thursday.
