Despite a protocol agreement, Charleroi airport will remain closed to all departing passengers on Wednesday as a result of a strike action. Airport boss Philippe Verdonck confirmed this to VTM NIEUWS on Tuesday. The roundabout towards the airport building was closed all day yesterday. People waiting outside were allowed in, but then the doors closed irrevocably. At the airport – just like Monday – it was pure chaos. Five officers were injured in the tumult, the airport boss learned from the police.
