Along with Sheraldo Becker (28), Danilho Doekhi (25) is still a candidate for sale at 1. FC Union.

Becker is associated with clubs from England (West Ham, Fulham), Doekhi with clubs from Italy since the winter. AS Roma wanted to sign the defender during the winter break (BILD reported).

Now the way could lead to Naples. At least that’s what his advisor, Seraino Dalgliesh, told Italian radio station CRC: “I know that Doekhi is on Napoli’s list. There is one club that wants him in the Bundesliga and also in England. When an official offer comes in, we’ll look into it. With the opening of the transfer market, we will examine specific offers.” Clear statements.

Doekhi is said to be under contract with the Irons until 2025. The club beckons a large income. A year ago, the Dutchman came to Berlin from Vitesse Arnhem on a free transfer…

His market value has just skyrocketed to 17 million euros at transfermarkt.de. This makes him – together with offensive man Becker – the most valuable professional in Köpenick. In the spring, Doekhi already said: “It can happen so quickly in football. If you play in an important league like the Bundesliga and you do well with a team, both sportingly and personally, then the value can increase quickly.”

With five goals, Doekhi was the most prolific central defender in the Bundesliga last season. He always hit his head. Five header goals were top of the league in 2022/23! Such quality is noticeable.

Does Doekhi’s move depend on Kim’s transfer to Bayern?

Rumors about Doekhi and Juventus also surfaced at the weekend. But the trail seems to lead to Naples, to the Italian champions. A Doekhi move could be linked to the sale of Min-jae Kim (26) from Napoli to Bayern Munich. Once again the Doekhi advisor: “We’ll see what happens when Kim’s transfer goes through.”
