1. FC Union Berlin is playing the first round match in the DFB Cup against regional league club Chemnitzer FC on a Monday evening.
This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) on Wednesday. Kick-off in Chemnitz is on August 1st at 6 p.m.
Hertha BSC plays at Eintracht Braunschweig on July 31 (6 p.m.). Third division side FC Viktoria’s game, which hosts VfL Bochum 1848 (1 p.m.) in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark stadium, takes place the day before. Regional league FC Energie Cottbus is challenged on Monday (6 p.m.) against second division SV Werder Bremen.
The second main round follows in October, the other rounds in the coming year. The final in Berlin is scheduled for June 3rd.
