Berlin (dpa) – Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Union Berlin awards Pawel Wszolek to the Polish champions Legia Warsaw.
The 29-year-old attacking player, who only moved to Union from the Polish capital last summer, will initially play for his old club until the summer. “The loan is a good option for both sides at the moment, so we decided to do it together,” said Union manager Oliver Ruhnert.
In the first half of the season, Wszolek only played 18 minutes for Köpenick in the 3-1 win after extra time at third division Waldhof Mannheim in the DFB Cup and only made it into the squad twice in the Bundesliga without being used. In addition, Wszolek recently had to go into domestic isolation after a positive corona test.
