Now it has also caught the former Unioner and current Cologne coach Steffen Baumgart.
Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will have to do without their coach Steffen Baumgart in the game against SC Freiburg on Saturday. As the club announced on Wednesday, the head coach tested positive for the corona virus in the morning.
“I didn’t feel so good and did a rapid test at home. It turned out positive,” says the 50-year-old former Unioner, who has full vaccination protection and had tested negative the day before.
Baumgart went into isolation immediately after the result. If the PCR test confirms the result, assistant coach Andre Pawlack will look after the team at the weekend.
