Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer can imagine Julian Nagelsmann as national coach.
“Logically, I believe that Julian can take on this job,” said Fischer on Thursday, adding: “I trust any coaching colleague to do the job.”
Rumors that he too will be the successor of Hansi Flick could be, took Fisherman grinning in recognition. “It was brought to my attention. I haven’t read it myself,” reported the 57-year-old, who has no thoughts of moving to the DFB. “I can assure you that I am very, very happy where I am.”
According to media reports, the DFB made initial contact with Nagelsmann in its search for a new person in charge of the DFB selection (PICTURE reported). The 36-year-old is still contractually bound to FC Bayern, who released him from all duties last March. Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeneß had already indicated that Nagelsmann’s move to the DFB would “certainly not fail” at FC Bayern.
