Urs Fischer (56) couldn’t and didn’t want to miss this game! After his vacation in Austria, the Union coach traveled to Lake Geneva and watched his daughter Riana (27)’s last game live in Lausanne on Monday. She ends her career – with a happy ending.

For Riana Fischer, the farewell performance is rather mixed. Before the 0:1 (18th) she lets herself be duped on the left side of defence. Like her father, Riana played defensively. And like her father with the shirt number 14.
In the 71st minute it’s over for them. The German coach Inka Grings, who is still outnumbered, has to go on the offensive – for full-back Fischer the game and career are over. But the FCZ is still turning the game! It’s 1-1 after 90 minutes and 2-2 after 120 minutes. Drama at the end of your career!
At the end, Riana Fischer even celebrates the Swiss double. Her father Urs did that as a coach with Basel in 2017. And maybe he’ll catch up union yes, a title…
