Union Berlin’s striker Sheraldo Becker, who is willing to move, has been released from training by the Köpenick team for contract talks with another club. The Bundesliga club announced this at a press conference on Wednesday. According to consistent media reports from Spain and Germany, the 28-year-old is about to move to Spanish first division club Real Sociedad. Becker should therefore complete the medical check with the club from San Sebastián in the Basque Country on Wednesday.

Union coach Nenad Bjelica said about the significance of the attacker’s imminent loss that Becker had not been able to play a major role in the past few weeks due to injuries. “That’s why we focused on the players who were there.” He wishes him good luck if the change goes through.
