Unexpected three-pointer Young Ajax and a hopeless evening Young AZ in Den Bosch

Young Ajax had little claim to a victory against Almere City FC. In a tough second half, the team from Amsterdam managed to secure the victory in the switch: 3-2. The AZ promise team was unable to continue last week’s good performance. This time, a visit to FC Den Bosch was lost without a chance: 3-0.

For Young Ajax against Almere City FC it was a long time to explore. Some carelessness led to small opportunities, but the real dangerous attempts failed to materialize. After twenty minutes the scoring was opened. A corner for the team from Amsterdam was taken quickly and briefly. Kian Fitz-Jim was approached and hurled the ball towards the far post. Christian Rasmussen could easily nod his head in there: 0-1.

Equalizer after equalizer

Despite the good goal, the team from Amsterdam could not continue the line. Less than seven minutes later, the equalizer came. After a good attack, Manuel Royo put in a shot from about twenty meters. A falling ball surprised and outwitted goalkeeper Tom De Graaff: 1-1. The promises of the Amsterdammers came quickly with a response. A smooth-running attack over several pieces came at the feet of Lorenzo Lucca. He simply pushed the ball against the ropes.

In the second half, Almere City got more grip on the game. The Flevolanders had several imposed chances, but De Graaff was able to parry every attempt. Nevertheless, the equalizer fell. In decent freedom, Jeredy Hilterman headed in: 2-2. The Amsterdammers didn’t really get involved anymore. Yet Ajax struck once more. An attack by Almere City was repulsed and in the quick counter Ar’jany Martha pushed the ball under Almere goalkeeper Nordin Bakker. At the end of the game, goalscorer Royo once again hit the bar for Alex Pastoor’s team. There were no more goals: 2-3.

Young AZ had a difficult evening in Den Bosch. After only two minutes of play, goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owuso-Oduro was already passed. After a good cross from the left, FC Den Bosch striker Danny Verbeek shot the ball in. Young AZ tried to turn the game around, but the Alkmaarders did not come up with great opportunities. Den Bosch almost struck again in minute 33 when Joey Konings poked a volley after a long ball on Owusu-Oduro who made a good save.

No chance second half

In the second half, Jong AZ quickly got the lid on its nose. Where Konings missed a great chance in the first half, it was hit in the 47th minute. Owuso-Oduro initially managed to make a save, but in the rebound it was still hit. Less than fifteen minutes later, the game was finally closed. The Alkmaar goalkeeper again managed to save in the first instance, but Steven van der Heijden shot the second opportunity very hard. In the remainder of the game, little more was done, as a result of which the game ended in 3-0.
