The protagonists are all different from each other, but their respective paths cross thanks to the establishment where they spend their days. It stands out among all Ciro (Cristiano Caccamo), a boy from the South who dreams of breaking into music. She arrives in Riccione for a casting, but receives a resounding no. Disappointed, he goes to the beach and thanks to a qui pro quo he is hired as a lifeguard.

It doesn’t take much for his statuesque physique to capture the attention of the girls on the beach, but Ciro doesn’t show much interest. He is engaged to Violante (Rosanna Sapia) and the relationship is put into crisis first by Mara (Giulia Schiavo) and then by Emma (Claudia Tranchese)Violante’s best friend.

Then, there is Marco (Saul Nanni), the classic good guy. He chooses Riccione to pursue Guenda (Fotinì Peluso), with whom he has been in love for five years. She calls him ironically phlegm, for the unmistakable verve that distinguishes it. He hopes that sooner or later chapters. He rents a room from Gualtiero (Andrea Roncato) and will share it with Tommy (Matteo Oscar Giuggioli), a slightly drifter boy from Milan, but with a good heart, whose mother is on holiday in Tenerife. He left for Romagna so as not to be alone in the city.

The love story between Vincenzo and Camilla

Furio (Davide Calgaro) is the son of the owner of the factory where Ciro works. He has never had a girlfriend and punctually his approaches prove unsuccessful. He meets Vincenzo (Lorenzo Zurzolo) and an understanding immediately strikes between the two. Vincent, in turn, stays in a hotel with his mother, Irene (Isabella Ferrari)a woman in her fifties, apprehensive and worried about her son’s fate.

The boy is blind and Irene lives in fear that he won’t be able to manage on his own. One evening she follows him to the disco, but is blocked by the bouncer Lucio (Luca Ward), with whom she has an altercation. And for them too, despite a stormy start, holidays under the Riccione sun represent the possibility of a new beginning.

In the end, Camilla (Ludovica Martino). He is about to leave for Canada: she has always dreamed of it, but now, with a concrete proposal in hand, she is paralyzed by fear. Furthermore she has been engaged to Giorgio for four years, but the story has come to an endto. On a dating app she sees Vincenzo’s photo and they start chatting.

The understanding is palpable from the first conversation, but Camilla does not reveal that she is engaged. On the other hand, he doesn’t tell her he’s blind. Both omit something, but in the end their respective worlds manage to meet.

After Under the Riccione sunthe sequel Under the Amalfi sun

In 2022, two years after its release, it arrived on Netflix Under the Amalfi sun. The sequel leaves the Romagna Riviera for Campania and keeps part of the original cast. Cristiano Caccamo, Saul Nanni, Fotinì Peluso and Matteo Oscar Giuggioli leave the scene and others enter. The plot, in fact, revolves around the love story between Vincenzo and Camilla.

She is back from Canada and they are about to go on vacation together. With them there is also Furio e make friends with Nathalie (Kyshan Wilson), Hans (Nicolas Maupas) and Rebecca (Elena Funari). Even Irene and Lucio are still together and spend their holidays in Amalfi. Among the new entries, Brigitte (Marit Nissen), Roberto (Andrea Occhipinti) and David (Raz Degan).
