Ajax is the second North Holland football club to start preparing for the new season. Alfred Schreuder was on the field for the first time as head coach with the team from Amsterdam and had access to a large group of players.
Although the internationals still enjoyed a well-deserved holiday, Ajax was on the field with the reserves and players of Jong Ajax. Lisandro Magallán returned from his rental period to RSC Anderlecht and Mo Ihattaren made a passionate impression. The creative midfielder took the lead in many situations and asserted himself on the ball with splitting passes.

At Ajax, Eskild Dall and Terrence Douglas returned from their rental period. That means that the buying options for the two youngsters have not been exercised. Schreuder noticed that he outsourced the training to his assistants Michael Reiziger and Matthias Kaltenbach. Ajax will leave for De Lutte next Monday for training camp. There the team will play two exhibition games against SV Meppen and SC Paderborn. At the beginning of August Ajax will leave for Austria for a week.
