Under Armor names Gap veteran Shawn Curran as chief supply chain officer

The US sporting goods provider Under Armor Inc. has brought additional experience into the company. On Thursday, the company introduced Shawn Curran as its new chief supply chain officer.

The industry veteran spent more than 34 years at the US clothing group Gap Inc. and held various management positions there. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Old Navy brand.

At Under Armour, Curran, who will take up his post on October 16, will have a wide range of responsibilities. He takes responsibility for all areas of the supply chain, logistics and warehousing. He will also be responsible for the company’s sustainability efforts in the future. In his new role, Curran will be part of the sporting goods retailer’s leadership team and will report directly to CEO Stephanie Linnartz.
