Broekmans, who serves 18 other branches from Panningen, still has a contract for the gas until 2024. The same goes for Frans Voncken from Heerlen. Both see their purchasing costs rise alarmingly, but do not yet have sleepless nights over tons of extra energy costs. “But it is clear that something has to be done. I think there just has to be a maximum price, otherwise it won’t work”, thinks Voncken.
