Unaffordable gas bill makes swimming pool Dominiek Savio close: “hell for the residents”

The pool is mainly used by people with a physical disability, so the temperature of the pool is up to three degrees higher than in a normal swimming pool.

“The closure is hell for the residents, especially because for them the swimming pool is like a free space. If you take that away, you take away their free world”, says director Kaat Delrue. But unfortunately no other option is possible. Last year’s energy bill was already very high and the forecast for the coming months looks bleak.
