The United Nations (UN) will reduce the number of blue helmets worldwide by 25 percent in the coming months due to a lack of financial resources, mainly due to American cuts in international aid. That amounts to 13,000 to 14,000 soldiers and agents, a senior UN official said anonymously on Wednesday to the AFP news agency.
