UN expert speaks of forced labor in Xinjiang

The United Nations human rights expert on slavery denounces that minorities in China’s Xinjiang region are required to perform forced labour. Japan’s human trafficking expert from the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Tomoya Obokata, speaks in a new report of “forced labor among Uyghur, Kazakh and other ethnic minorities in sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing in China’s Xinjang Autonomous Region”.
