Ulmer replacement: Salzburg sign Aleksa Terzic from AC Fiorentina

Contract until 2028

Series champion Red Bull Salzburg has strengthened with Aleksa Terzic. The 23-year-old left-back comes from Italy from AC Florenz to the city of Mozart, where he signed a contract that runs until 2028. The transfer fee is said to be around 5 million euros. The Serb made 22 appearances in Serie A for Fiorentina last season, mostly losing out to captain Cristiano Biraghi.

The captain is also a left-back in Salzburg: Andreas Ulmer, now 37, will retire after the 2023/24 season. Ideally, the five-time national player should inherit the veteran in his position.

Sporting director Christoph Freund, who switched to FC Bayern in September, said of the new signing: “Aleksa is a full-back with really great potential, very fast and good in tackles. In terms of his skills, the way he plays football and his mentality, he fits in really well with our way of playing football and is passionate about his new role with us. I am convinced that he will quickly find his way around our philosophy and will help us very quickly.”
