Ukrzaliznytsia organized seven evacuation trains from Kiev

The Ukrainian railway carrier Ukrzaliznytsia announced that it had organized several evacuation flights of passenger trains from Kiev to the west. The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mustafa Nayem wrote about this in his Telegram.

Trains will depart from Kiev-Passenger station. He gave the departure time of seven trains.

In addition, electric trains will also take people out of Kiev, which “will carry out transit delivery with a transfer in the city chosen by the railway headquarters, transfer to a spare diesel train.”

This number of trains is enough to evacuate 10,000 people by the end of the day, Nayem said.

He warned that boarding would be on a first-come, first-served basis, and only emergency lighting would work in the train cabins. “The less the train looks like a garland, the safer the journey,” the deputy minister wrote.
