The Ukrainian grain federation expects the harvest to be 19.2 million tons this season. In the 2021-2022 season there was still a record harvest of 33 million tons.
Nevertheless, the yield remains three times higher than domestic consumption. She expects about 10 million tons to go abroad. According to statistics from the US Department of Agriculture, Ukraine exported 20 million tons of grain last season.
In addition, the Ukrainian maize harvest next season is expected to amount to 26.1 million tons, compared to 37.6 million last year (-30 percent), of which 15 million tons for export.
