Ukrainian energy minister warns of Russian rocket attacks on New Year’s Eve, Zelensky: “9 million people still without power”

Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko has warned the public about new large-scale Russian missile strikes on New Year’s Eve. Despite repairs to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which has been severely damaged so far, some nine million citizens are still without power. That is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his daily video address. “But the number and duration of power cuts are steadily decreasing,” it said.
