A Ukrainian drone captured the incident near the eastern town of Bachmut, where fighting has been raging for months. It starts with four men who hold their commander by their arms and legs and carry them behind a house. Then they dump him next to a shed.

A second video shows how three men then repeatedly hit him with – presumably kicks -. What exactly is going on is not entirely clear. The fate of the wounded commander is also a guess. The footage was recorded earlier this week and released on Ukrainian social media channels on Monday.

The morale of the Russian troops had been going bad for some time, especially in and around Bachmut, and these images should be proof of that. They are reportedly threatened with death if they fail to advance or fail to make progress. They are mowed down in large numbers and according to Ukraine, the front line is strewn with Russian bodies.
