Ukrainian designer Bobkova shows collection

Ukrainian designer Kristina Bobkova presented her spring-summer 2023 collection during Berlin Fashion Week. The Bobkova label, named after her, showed the designs at the new location of the fashion spectacle in the still unopened “Telegraphenamt” hotel in the Mitte district. Founded in 2000, the fashion brand wants to present “pieces that are relevant regardless of time and occasion”.

The new collection is dominated by cream, rose and silver-colored fabrics, with contrasting black, dark red and deep green pieces. Bobkova showed very wide cuts, hanging shoulders, fabrics in dresses and pants often get lost in floor length. There is a lot of femininity in the designs, even without clichés such as deep necklines or just tight-fitting shapes.

The collection, which appears light and casual, largely dispenses with decorative elements: here a double-stitched seam, there a line running diagonally to the cut.

At the event, people interested in fashion, buyers and trade visitors meet for shows, trade fairs, exhibitions and other events until Saturday. The Fashion Week combines several events related to fashion under one roof. (dpa)
