Ukraine receives IMF support package of 14.5 billion euros | War Ukraine and Russia

The aid package should serve to “support the gradual economic recovery while creating the conditions for long-term growth in post-conflict reconstruction and on the path to EU membership,” it said in a statement.

The head of the IMF mission in Ukraine, Gavin Gray, estimated Ukraine’s budgetary and operational needs for 2023 at $40 to $57 billion last December. This corresponds to approximately 37 to 53 billion euros.
