Ukraine has drawn up a 12-point plan for Crimea once the peninsula is retaken from the Russians. The plan states, among other things, that the bridge connecting the peninsula to the Russian mainland must be demolished.
The peninsula will be “cleansed” of those who supported Russian authorities in annexing Crimea in 2014, Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, writes on Facebook. Supporters of the Russians and “traitors” of the Ukrainian state will be tried in the second phase of the plan.
Russians who came to live on the peninsula after February 2014 will be expelled and purchases of real estate will be annulled, it also sounds.
There will also be a large-scale “detoxification program” to counteract the effects of Russian propaganda, Danilov reports. Political prisoners, including many Crimean Tatars, must be released immediately, he says.

Condition for peace agreement
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Crimea last month, exactly nine years after Russia annexed the peninsula. Since Putin ordered his army to invade Ukraine in February last year, there have been several explosions and drone strikes in Crimea. The attacks destroyed Russian weapons and ammunition, but were never officially claimed by Kiev.
The Ukrainians say they will never agree to a peace deal without getting Crimea back. French President Emmanuel Macron, among others, has already expressed his support for this.
