Ukraine is not going to “bow low” to partners

Ukraine will not “bow low” to countries that provide it with military assistance, said the President of the country Vladimir Zelensky.

“We appreciate any help, but everyone must understand that these are not charitable contributions that Ukraine should ask for or remind,” the Ukrainian leader said at the Munich Security Conference on February 19.

Addressing the audience, Zelensky said that military assistance to Kiev is a contribution to the security of Europe and the world, where Ukraine has been a reliable shield for eight years. The President’s speech was broadcast by the Ukraine-24 channel.

Earlier, Zelensky expressed outrage at the fact that Western countries provide funding to Kiev, while demanding certain reforms in the country. “Give unconditional money!” Zelensky urged.

Meanwhile, the head of the World Bank, David Malpass, said at a meeting with the President of Ukraine that they are preparing to consider the issue of allocating $ 350 million to Kiev from the World Bank to support ongoing reforms. The World Bank Council plans to consider this issue by the end of March, writes TASS.
